Delivery

Delivery within 10 miles is free of charge, 11 miles plus is charged at £0.45 per mile.

Purchased Items

Payment in full is required at time of booking or 7 days prior to delivery/collection.

Event Hire Equipment

 

Definitions by Law 
By Owner, We, Us and Our we mean the supplier of the goods Vanessa Jane Events.  

You or Your means the customer hiring the Goods.
Goods means all equipment hired by Us to the Customer.

  • All hired goods remain our property. The Customer is responsible for the hired goods during the period of hire.

  • Once a 25% deposit is paid to secure your booking this is non-refundable for items booked on the invoice.

  • Full payment is due no later than 6 weeks prior to the agreed hire date. 

  • The agreement for the hire of goods is between Vanessa Jane Events and the Customer, not the venue unless goods are being hired directly by the venue.

  • Vanessa Jane Events will charge the Customer for any costs due to terms and conditions being broken. It is then the responsibility of the Customer to reclaim any of these costs from the venue if the venue was at fault. 

  • Shortages, loss and damages to hired goods will be charged at full replacement value and delivery to The Owner. No substitute item will be accepted by The Owner. 

  • Vanessa Jane Events will inform The Client within 7 days, in writing, of any damages and costs concerning any of the Hired Goods. An invoice will be sent outlining nature of damage and costs incurred to the client. 

  • Goods must be ready for delivery/collection at the agreed location at the correct date and time. An additional charge will apply to the Customer should We have to make additional trips due to Customer fault. 

  • Charges will be made for any damaged goods including goods that have been dragged on the floor, ground in earth stains, burns, holes, rips and tears, candle wax, grease or deep staining, dents, scratches, cracks, excluding general wear and tear. 

  • Damaged goods remain the property of Vanessa Jane Events

  • If goods are not returned at the end of the agreed hire period, Vanessa Jane Events retain the right to charge for: 

a.    The cost of replacement goods to honour any bookings where the goods are required. 
b.    The cost of replacement goods where hired items are permanently not returned. 

  • All replacement goods will be charged at the cost of goods including delivery. 

  • Goods that are to be collected and returned by the Customer must be collected and returned to the agreed address, on the agreed dates otherwise charges will be made as stated in point number 12.

  • Cancellation- Any cancellations made before 6 weeks prior to the arranged date with not incur any additional charges. Any cancellations made  6 weeks or less to the  event will incur full payment. No deposits will be returned.

  • Vanessa Jane Events promises to cover all bookings made. In the unfortunate event that an unlike incident occurs and a booking cannot be carried out Vanessa Jane Events will refund any deposits made and will do her best to assist in finding an alternative supplier.


We Hold full Public Liability Insurance and all our electrical products are regularly P.A.T tested.
